Baia Grande in Brazil

Rare wildlife ,seen only in the Pantanal wetlands.The Farm Baia Grande was bought in April of 1994 and works with the slaughter cattle only, the Farm opened its portieres for the agricultural and ecological tourism in July of 2001. We are dedicated to the preservation of the environment and the local culture. The Farm is inserted in the program “The Farms of Brazil”, which is an european group of rural tourism having headquarters in Portugal, always aiming at well-being among its employees and customers with the nature. The Farm has partnerships, such as: the CRAS - Center of Rehabilitation of the Wild Animals, which is associated with the ABRATURR-MS – Brazilian Association of Agricultural Tourism of the Mato Grosso do Sul and with the Agricultural Association of the Vale do Rio Miranda. The Farm Baia Grande is cited at the Guia Quatro Rodas (magazine guide of tourism) as one of the best options of Hotel Farm of the Center-West in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and also cited at the Unibanco Guide Brazil - Pantanal, Bonito and Chapada dos Guimarăes, beyond innumerable news articles magazines dedicated to the tourism and television programs such as Terra da Gente (Land of People), Pequenas Empresas Grande negócios (Small Companies and Great Businesses), and in the Internet as Portal Terra, Errantes and others. The family who is the owner of the Farm Baia grande has been living in the Pantanal for 100 years, always linked to the land, the preservation of the environment and the local culture.
