Amazonat in Brazil
Pristine Amazonian dry forest with newly discovered plant and animal species. Amazonat Jungle Lodge , 100 miles east of Manaus, in Brazil, is hidden within 3,500 acres of pristine dry forest containing an unknown number of undiscovered tree and plant species, part of the vast Amazonian rainforest, the lungs of the planet. The Preto da Eva River which flows at the southern extreme of Amazonat Jungle Lodge. The discharge of its brownish water into the Amazon river attracts the grey dolphin (Tucuxi) and the illustrious pink dolphin (Boto Vermelho) all year round. The last 25 kilometres of this river possesses an ecosystem unique for the region because it is both effected by the black water (high level) and white, muddy water, (low level) which influence has created two types of flood plains.
