Monte Leon in Argentina
Sea lions, penguins and ostriches frolic by the shores of the icy Far South Atlantic. Monte León , in Argentina´s southern Patagonia, is home to a stunning biodiversity and spectacular landscapes. It also houses valuable mementos of it's remote prehistoric past, native peoples, and activity as a sheep farm, which dates from the late 19th century. The Monte León lodge is managed by the original owner's grandaughter. It functions in what once was the estate administrator's house, and it keeps alive the traditional Patagonian combination of efficiency and comfort in a pristine natural setting.
