One of the premier ski resorts of the Southern Hemisphere. The US Ski team practices here during Northern Summer. The Portillo ski and resort experience is unlike that of any other commercial ski resort. We offer our Grand Hotel Portillo, with a variety of room options, as well as the Octagon Lodge and Inca Lodges. There is no neighboring town, meaning Portillo is totally self-contained, much like a cruise ship nestled in the magnificent Andean peaks. But Portillo is not just for skiing or snowboarding, socializing and relaxing, it is also for renovating and restoring the body and mind in a natural environment that is nothing less than spectacular. Portillo has been South America's premier destination ski resort for more than 50 years, internationally famous for its majestic, Andean setting and powder snow.

Cedars of Lebanon in Lebanon
The most exciting way to get to The Cedars is from Deir al Ahmar in the Beqaa valley. The road snakes up the bare eastern slopes of Mount Lebanon presenting marvelous views at every turn. As you get higher, at the crest you look down the other side into a gigantic bowl where the ski resort, the cedar grove and the Qadisha gorge lie before you in a wide-angle panorama. Plan this route for summer or fall because snow closes the pass in winter. r al Ahmar in the Beqaa valley. Ski TIffendel in South Africa
Tiffindell’s pioneering efforts in 1993 led to Southern Africa’s only ski resort being established on the slopes of the highest mountain in the Cape - Ben Mc Dhui, at 3001m (on the Lesotho & South African border). The resort is constantly expanding and is a popular winter holiday venue. The carefully selected position of the resort, on the south facing slope of the highest mountain in the Cape, ensures that the snow lasts, extending the time available for snow skiing. Slopes cleared and groomed during summer quickly transform to ski runs after even the lightest of snowfalls.
